I'm really happy to see this thread. I just got out my old comics and started reading them again. Since then I've been going to the local shop that has a ton of unorganized bins of comics in perfect condition for 3/$1. I just started collect the old CrossGen Way of The Rat, The Path and Marvels Elektra The Hand among others. I saw a stack of Shaolin Cowboy in there. I'm going to have to grab that today and start checking out the new Marvel stuff also. It's cool to hear what you guys are into.

The only new ones I've gotten are the Iron Man annual and Black Panther. Anyone like those? I want to check out the Storm Shadow comics but neither place has #1.

I remember I used to love reading comic-ish books at the library. Since university I haven't had time to do any of that stuff. I haven't even been to the library for like 5 years, because every book I am reading is for a class. Time to relax over the break!

Marvel Digital Comics:
http://www.marvel.com/digitalcom…I think this is a great idea, but I would rather get my mitts on a downloadable version so I can read comics on the plane. As well as the latest issues of current series.

Are there any new trades other than the ones named so far that are good? You guys have gotten me interested in the new Marvel stuff. The Avengers look really cool now from what I've seen.

Is it ok to get any one of the civil war trades or should they be read together? Is there a backstory you need to know or is it all in the books?
- edd-e0
each trade for civil war can be read as a stand alone book or you can get the whole series, i suggest you get the stories of the characters you like best.

I have the entire "Civil War" collection in chronological order, but it's digitized (I have the files) so it sucks. I hate reading comic books on my computer.
Once in a while I download them just to check out the book before I buy it sometime down the road, but the experience isn't that good. Better to get them in print form.
Anyway, I won't be buying the Civil War collection so I figure I will just read some of them on the computer screen.
I finally received Volumes 2 & 3 of "Runaways" in the mail today but Volume 1 will take another two weeks or something to get here (and obviously I want to read that one first). Apparently it is more difficult to find (or they don't have as many copies available during Christmas time).
