open preferences > quicktime
click on advanced tab, then mime settings button.
select all the media types you want quicktime to handle

oh yeah, and uninstall that WMP garbage and use VLC
- jox0
thanks man! But it still doesn't seem to be working and I selected QT to play all formats. I even uninstalled WMP and the fucker STILL keeps trying to play streaming vid. I don't know what's going on, restarted browser/computer too.

when the problem is fixed. i also recommend the VLC Player, albeit from a windows experience.

I've had VLC since it was first released, this is a streaming problem
:)

Is there a Classic Media Player for OS X as there is for Windoz? It is a pretty solid player for streaming Micro$oft video. But if yr prob is with QT, this Macnoob'll leave the vicinity.
