}

double check to make sure it's behavior is that of a button (as opposed to a MC)

cos yer using scenes.
scenes in Flash are like zeppelins, seemed a good idea at the time but after careful consideration, and a couple of mishaps, were revealed to be shite.

Yeah, don't use scenes.
- lvl_130
do not use scenes!
- jysta0
yeah it seemed logical until it didn't work.
:-/

just drop everything from scene 2 into a movieclip. then you can just target the movieclip. easy.

Is the button on the root level?
- Mimio0
Also, you could just try creating a frame label in that scene and sending the button to that.

On the same project, anyone have a online example of SWFObject embed which re-directs to the adobe 'flash player upgrade page'
it uses 'redirectUrl' in the argument. Just I can't get the syntax right :-/
- jpea0
so.addParam('redirectUrl', 'upgrade.html');
- jpea0
sorry, didn't actually try it :
so.redirectUrl('upgrade.html');
i think should work
- jysta0

sorry guys Im refering to this:
id - The ID of your object or embed tag. The embed tag will also have this value set as it's name attribute for files that take advantage of swliveconnect.
where do i get that info from???

if thats any help,
it's not working, im unable to get the ID for the SWF, atm im just using the filename without the extention.
- jpea0
out of curiosity, what do you need the ID for the swf for?
- jpea0
oh, and sorry, i guess i was right with my first guess, so instead of so.redirectUrl or such, add it as a parameter :
so.addParam('redirectUrl', 'http://www.adobe.com/products/f...
