a nikon d200 body with a fuji sensor, it could be a very good match. maybe nikon will put fuji sensor into their cameras as well?

ah now i see.

i am out of this thread btw
i am really not down with the childish this vs that vs whatever typical neverending PVN cockmeasuring bullshit.
If you want to exchange thoughts about the camera, mail me Rand.
cheers.

PVN olimpiad fallum ab taurus shittum

from what I understand, a d200 with much better chip(s) and high iso performance

Crouwel, could you please post some more HDR-ish examples? The mercedes shots were lovely.

crouwel, were your "hdr" samples in-camera results of the dual chip setup, or did you actually composite images? Can I see them?
- ********0
maybe soon..
i just love how fujifilm has a strong history in film and transfers that knowledge into the digital domain, ie chips.
and i jsut love how Nikon has a strong history in lenses and how they fit on the S3 and S5 and all..
best of both worlds imho
the nikon is faster though.
but i never shoot fast..

i do not compose them. i just have the density range set to max and you get amazing details in one shot. provided you shoot raw and during conversion you make sure the image looks NOT ok but the histograms for highlights and shadows should be set to high detail, ie eliminate all loss of detail in highlights and shadows and then work it up in photoshop.
fuckin amazing.
- ********0
can you set camera jpeg conversion to preserve these details?
- ********0
not sure haven't tried yet..
but the thing with raw is is that i can control the conversion on my monitor to get 100% detail..

i like the new HDR tool in CS3. i just shoot 3 shots then compose later in PS. i know there is a trick to do this from one raw file. but is that the same thing using Fuji camera?

the fuji uses 2 different 6 mp chips--one for highlights and one for shadows
