Is there a good place to have a powerbook repaired in Manhattan or Williamsburg, apart from the Apple store... ie cheaper?
Thanks!

Going into the Apple store is probably a nicer experience, haha. But I'm a tight ass so I don't wanna pay more than I have to...

apple = money
teksserve is made up of ex apple people. And it's the same price.
But there a sign in the window it was rated the best place to flirt in 2005 or something. If that means anything to you...

yeah, most female mac owners are hot. from my own experience, tekserve is pretty good. i had a hd failure and they charged me only $50 after the problem was too severe to get it fixed. apple would have said, we don't do any hd recovery.

Tekserve has been pretty good to me in the past.
If you are covered by applecare they do most everything for no charge - including part replacement. If you can back up your HD before you go (in case they have to wipe it) do so - the data back up / recovery fees are bananas.
Oh, and not only is it a good place to flirt but a good place to blow all of you disposable income as well - good luck.

by flirt you mean creepily stare?

Flirting or not, thanks for all the input! I'll check tekserve out.
