Your other 30 year old mates probably think you're a dick most of the time then. ;)

--------I hear you.
I'm 31 and dont feel much different to I did when i was 21.Your late twenties are well better than your teens and early 20s are you are probably a poor student then.
In your late 20s youl hopefully have a decent job, be on decent money and can buy yourself the things you want.Im single, still enjoy going out on the pull and stuff like that.
I few mates are in the same boat and enjoying it too btu ive also got mates that are getting married and having kids. its personal choice isnt it?!If you want a quarterlife crisis or are expecting one, then one will probably happen.
just enjoy what you do and do what makes you happy, there is no "route" to take through life!!

I say one-up everyone. Have a philosophical/political crisis at every age.

When I was 25 I met the woman who's now my wife, was homeless for 5 days, lost a job, moved to the Midwest. When I was 26 I landed the best job of my career thus far, visited the west coast for the first time, got engaged. This year (age 27) I've gotten married, now joining my church, enjoying the longest stretch of stability since I can remember.
I'd characterize these years as unpredictable and fast-paced for me. A mixture of wonderful and awful. I've also learned a lot, the primary bit of knowledge being that I really don't know much at all.

i think it's more the realization you are no longer a child though you are still acting like one. the loom of responsibility escapes no one. to consider the thoughts running through my head now a crisis would be completely inaccurate. i believe the fears, wants, and confusion we have now are meant to drive us past what we have become comfortable expecting from life so that we can fully experience what this planet have to offer, both physically and emotionally. progress was never made by those idly complacent.
