but seriously, people need to start considering the nutritional value of things they ingest.
I had pizza and bourbon last night.

My kid loves the toys in the HappyMeal™, not the fries or the hamburger... that's why I go.

I have to say...I used to work there (3 of my siblings have as well) and it's probably the hardest job I've ever had. Maybe because I prefer being in charge of myself and not being under constant pressure, but the work has more cons than positives.

hehe... I worked there a spell waaay back in '94...
... my brother has worked for them and is now one of their corpo dorks since '91...
... yikes. :)
- Jaline0
Yeah, ponyboy, I couldn't stand it there after 1 year (I know, I lasted longer than most people).
I know some of the team managers stay because they don't think they'll get as much money at other jobs. Doesn't make much sense, unless they got a large raise.

alot of my brother's buddies have been with the company at least 15 years - the majority of them started families very early on in life (19, 20... 22 - married, 2 kids type of thing) and are very subUrban... ...whitetrash (hahaha...sorry Mikey!! I love you, Big-Bro... but your pals are pretty cracka-lacky!!)...
... lots of mini vans, groomed back yards and report cards hung on refrigerators amongst that group...
... what's really creepy though - is like any 'inner-office family' that's known each other for as long as these clowns...
... there is SO MUCH adultery and inappropriate flirting/partying w/the group...... very... gross. I humor big bro. and show up to one of his gatherings every now and then... only to be bum-rushed by stinky trailer-trash and THEIR DAUGHTERS...
... alas... I spend a lot of time away from the big bro. :)
- Jaline0
I wouldn't describe suburban kids in general as being "trashy" but, then again, I don't know the ones you know, heh.

It's not perfectly fine to eat it every once in a while. What you buy has consequences. You're contributing to the part of the economy that makes this country as fat as it is. That markets itself to minorities and lower income youth that are more vulnerable to their line of bull.
Everything in moderation is apt only if you want a moderately good life.
- Jaline0
You have some good points, but you could say that about nearly everything.

um... bullshit.I don't 'make' ANYONE fat by eating at Mcdonalds...
...does the food that goes in my belly go to your hips, cybrain?
- PonyBoy0
... putting the responsibility of other peoples bad habits is bullshit. You can't blame advertising for your lack of education.
- Point50
but unfortunately that advertising, even more-so the target marketing towards certain markets is ultimately causing huge problems in those demographics. I would usually assume that "poor" equals "lack of education", but come to the west side of Vegas into Summerlin where houses appreciated at rates of 200%/yr. in some neighborhoods and there are more Bentley's, Ferrari's, and BMWs than you can blink at and you will see a minimum of a 10 car line at both the McDonald's and the Starbucks next door on any given Saturday morning. The brainwashing is just a self-financing monster thanks to people's drug addictions; in this case the drugs are fat, sugar and caffeine...
