I wanted to start a new thread for this.
The new album is very different from the older stuff. Any word on the process?

I think it’s dope.
- digitalswarm0
Yeah, pretty funky. I kind of like the older stuff better, but this is growing on me fast.

think so. see... that's the thing. i like the music, but his singing (and lyrics) are a little weak. like this was his first and Deadringer was his latest, more accomplished.

I like it, I really really like it!
- digitalswarm0
Yeah, but his voice kind of has an indie-don't give a shit how I sound- feel...
Though it also comes across as a n00b voice, for sure.

*insert star wars powering down sound

thumbs down for me, production is on point like usual but him singing is far from good..
dont get me wrong, I really liked most of his previous stuff, it was more original had an rjd2 style,
on this last one it just sound like another cd from the pack you know?
- jondj240
he sang on 'Since We Last Spoke' too. I haven't purchased the new album yet but i feel is second effort was better than 'Deadringer'. 'Since We Last Spoke' was a flawless album in every track.
Deadringer's F.H.H. track was very weak because of the emcee choice. Its only weak moment.

an instrumental version of this album would be better. his singing is shit.

I think he was heavily influenced by his friend, and other Columbus, Ohio musician, Happy Chichester. I think Happy plays on this cd a bunch. Happys quit talented and has played in some great bands: RC Mob, Howlin Maggie, Twilight Singers, Afghan whigs and New Bomb Turks.
Check out his style

P.S Where's Barbtastic she's know more about the Cowlubus connection

(Mar 16 07, 11:12)firstly:
http://www.newstoday.com/pv-an/v…secondly, i have to disagree w/you on the FFH note. Deadringer is well produced, yes, but is also his best work in part to great team-ups w/ the MCs he chose.
...anyhoo, i am of the oppinion that his best ever track is his remix of Can Ox's F Word. hands down.
