I'm twiddling my thumbs until thursday when I start two weeks work which will see me through the next two months.
Sit tight and keep looking out for work though, I'm finding it tough (went freelance in the new year) but if you keep plugging away the opportunities do turn up when you perhaps don't expect it.
:)

t'innernet is expensive out here.
i hate when they have the wifi logo in the window and then you go in and order a coffee and a danish and sit down and boot up and get comfy and then they tell you it's a fiver an hour when you only really had 20 minutes work to do and so you go to the atm they've got conveniently situated in the corner and get out some cash so you can check your email...
but then you have 40 minutes to hang out on nt i guess...
or send out more cvs.

cheers, jamble. and good luck with the new gig. that ain't half bad, two weeks for two months!
i've got a few recruitment consultants on the case. i've got a couple months' leeway, but i'm already kind of nervous!

I know the exact feeling, I had the "freelance panic" about two weeks ago where I'd finished all the work I had on and had nothing at all lined up so chucked a few cv's out to agencies telling them I was looking for freelance and it worked out nicely so stick with it.
As a freelance newb I think I'm going to have to start getting used to the feeling of panic every few months!

para, I'd paypal you a fiver but I'm skint. Saving my pennies for fa fa fa fa Friday! Hoxton Bar & Kitchen has free WiFi, nice and chilled during the day. Bit of a trek though.

ooh! good tip, thanks. i'll head over there next, it ain't far at all. i'm only in brick lane these days.

and, jamble, that's the best thing you could've said. i hate the panic feeling, but it's the price we pay for a bit more freedom, methinks.

point of reference, most McDonalds in major cities have free wifi access.
strange but true.
All of NYC is wired for them, and from what I understand, lots of locals in other cities as well.

It's also a good justification for charging a lot more money for your time!

You can't beat Ron's Rainbow Rooms for an aspirational working environment!

I hear Baskerville needs a new site
;)

haha :o|
I actually finished it last night, but I haven't uploaded it all yet. Should be online by tomorrow! I'm quite pleased, thanks for all your help everyone.
The reason I made it was so I could find a new job and quit my current one. I wouldn't mind a bit of time in unemployedland between though!

whatever you do para, remember you have friends who do care and you can count on, you don't have to go to sweden to work near this "nice business park just by the water"..

yeah, big chill bar is ace. i dunno what people have against it. so quiet during the day and the staff are totally sweet about the fact that i was here all day yesterday and turned up right as they were unlocking the doors just now.
and the harissa is gorgeous.
