its just like that EarthLink folks who called me asking about internet service..
they asked how long i have been using internet, i said about 10 years..
the girl said, well there was no internet at that time, she said internet was created 5 years ago..
and kept arguing with me that she KNOWS for sure it was 5 yrs ago cause thats when she got internet

i was at the store this weekend and it was great. i was walking around with Nike+ stuff and a guy came up to me and asked me if i am checking out now. he swiped my card and done. it's like having a personal register available to me.

The Genius bar guys are almost always douchebags who think they're better than you. I hate talking to those fucks.
I haven't had much trouble with the guys working the store, but sometimes to fuck with them I'll pretend like I've never used a computer before and make them explain everything about the computer.
"What does this do? It looks cool" and I'll press it and Vrrrrr off goes the computer.
"Sir that was the power button"
I was at BestBuy over the weekend and I was looking for a laptop for a friend and some jackleg know it all came over talking his jargon. So I had him show me some features of VISTA (which we've been testing here for almost 6 months) and sure enough he didn't know much about it... then he froze up the 'super fast' as he called it laptop. I said "THIS is why I'm going to buy a Mac" and flipped the mouse into the display wall.
It's the little things.

I've been using apple computers since I was 11 which is 14 years ago.
I remember when they were still beige boxes, like the classic, the performa etc. When the Newton came out, all that stuff. The guys who work in the apple store haven't been using apple stuff very long and it annoys me that they think they know everything. I've never had a problem with my mac computer. I've only asked for help getting a replacement ipod. still annoys me though.

haha, the real crazy employees are the ones that work like every week or so - there is this guy who shows off garageband by playing his electric guitar as loud as he can - I asked if I could play and he said "no - you have to buy one - they are at minimum 800 dollars" - what a douche - his chopped up midi-esque version of vanhalens eruption made me want to puke...also, is it part of the dress code to look/act like you are a member of the band coldplay?
- OSFA0
haha
- OSFA0
it would be cooler if they dress up like they are part of KISS. Now THAT would be an interesting store to visit.
- wendog0
seriously OSFA - the next time im going to the apple store Im going to pop on "Detroit Rock City" from my ipod and do a psuedo party boy dance in a white thong on the genius bar (dont quote me on that)

APPL'TUDE

haha, i wonder if kids do "design" internships at the apple store
- lvl_130
the dudes at the genius bar are like the bouncers at any club that caters to popped-collar douchebags and overly tan high heeled anarexic chics. they think they are the shit...but then you look at them and think "wow, what a fucking excellent career with a promising future." as you snicker.
it works. try it sometime and be happy :)
- OSFA0
think of all the stories they can tell their kids and grandkids about their crazy days at the genius bar or standing in the cold or heat outside a club, looking tough and cool. haha, love bouncers, they are the 'coolest losers' in town.

"asshole" must be the standard-issue training at apple stores... no matter what city i visit one, they all have the same cuntfaced attitude
- xenicon0
I still would rather talk to them than a phone tree.

i hate going to the store so much, that i refused to get off the phone with apple for almost an hour- until they agreed to send a guy out to my house to replace parts in a 5-week-old overheating iMac....
i highly recommend being a bitch until you get yr way :D
