I also can't stand how the sense that there is no happiness, love or anything else without jesus in your life. That is backhandedly telling people they are full of shit and have less of a grasp on things than the person preaching it.
These are my opinions and if you expect people to respect yours, you must respect mine.

And of course without marriage there would be no divorce. There are broken relationships in and out of marriage. What's your point?
What does killing in the "name of God" have to do with this topic? Maybe you didn't get the memo about Pol Pot, Mao, Stalin, etc... who killed millions in the name of humanism/atheism. Another topic altogether though.
And no, with brothels you stand a much higher chance of coming away with a wasting disease and many regrets. And somehow I don't think you can make an honest comparison of those two based on experience.

I simply know that some things have been REVEALED to me, I believe my fate is not truly in my own hands, I believe that God claims for himself whomever he chooses. I had no choice in the matter, and I find great peace in that thought. It's ok if you don't. It's ok if you think I'm a lunatic. I sincerely don't hold it against you. People thought that about Jesus, so it's natural that the same charged would be levelled against his followers.

flag, i'd rather every deep true love that i will ever have cheat on me than to have one church within 45,000 miles of me. that'd cool with me.
i was bothered by that action for a day, her actions proved to me i wasted my time then. her actions released me from that worry. i am not one to wallow in pity or wonder why in cases like mine.
you are off base and religion would only make it worse, imagine if i had been married, i'd still be dealing with that problem

I just had a thought, how are you meant to have sex with more than one woman at a time if you wait for marriage? Bigamy is illegal. And having your balls licked whilst shagging brings you pretty close to god. You really shouldn't deny anyone that.

it seems as if some people [and i'm not pointing fingers here] think that you should either have no sex at all before marriage, or nail a million people randomly. there is a huge middle ground.

if it makes you feel any better i turn 30 in july, have no plans of marriage, believe in monogamy, and have had less than 15 sexual partners by choice, not chance.
(in fact i lost my virginity after i lived on my own)
i hope that's enough middle ground for you ;)

crap, that was the best analogy i had.
:)i guess my point was that just because marriage - which i view for the most part as a good thing - can end up badly doesn't make marriage bad.
if you don't think marriage is for you, that's cool with me. i'm not out to force you to do anything, and as i understand Christianity, God isn't going to force you to do anything either.
i still can't come up with a better analogy. i need a nap.
