ROCK vs. Design

Joining this a bit late.
I do both. I decided a long time ago that design would be my job but music would be more enjoyable as a hobby. I couldn't imagine myself after a long day at the recording studio coming home to do some design. But I do go home and relax by playing the guitar/piano etc.
I'm lucky in that I'm quite involved in guitar education. I help out as a teaching assistant at a large guitar school in the summer. I've gotten to jam with some great guitarists over the years. Had a great jam with alice cooper's guitarist. Met people like andy summers, paul gilbert, dominic miller (sting's guitarist), gary moore etc.
Rock is great to unwind, design..not so much.

I tried the music thing a while back and it was a lot of fun for a while. I got to tour the states and Europe but got a little tired of sleeping in vans and on floors. Then I got married and got a family. Then I got divorced..well almost...so now I am thinking of giving it another go....

only thing thats gonna suck is I am commuting from san diego to hollywood. Taking the train to avoid traffice and I will be sitting there in this get up for 2 hours. Coul dbe funny though.

rock vs design, a daily balancing act in my life...
you just gotta do whats right for you. Sometimes you have to take a chance in life...
if you passed on the rock, would you spend the rest of your life in reget? Cause thats no way to live...
id say, rock full time and design freelance to cover the bills and stay connected to your world of design and creative output.

It's Meegs new project from Coal Chamber. they were from 94-02. Wasnt a huge fan of that. But this new one is quite nice.

wow exciting times morilla. you can always go back to design if the rock thing doesn't work out, but it looks like this is too good of an opportunity to pass up.
keep us updated. all of the rest of us stuck behind monitors and keyboards all day can only live vicariously through you.
