pardon me?

Whatever. I am fully resigned that Bush is Emperor-in-Chief and whatever hopes I had for the Dems doing anything is dashed against the rocks of cynicism and disbelief.
The Libby trial could point to the complicitness of the entire upper eschelon of the Bush administration and nothing - nothing - will happen.
All we get to do from here on out is vote for emperor every four years among a field of carefully selected and vetted candidates representing the moneyed interests.
America is dead. Long live America.

pardon me?
kld
(Mar 6 07, 08:28)hahah..fuck - exactly. The presidential pardons will be as thick as flies as Bush steps down. No one will be held accountable for anything.

or keep appealing it till he dies?
JSK
(Mar 6 07, 08:52)You mean until Bush pardons him.
No one will be held accountable for anything form this administration. Ever.

What were you expecting?
- TheBlueOne0
Just like Ollie North is still walking around. In fact he's a respected pundit and is seen on all the news shows.
He broke the highest law of the land by violating the Constitution - and he got pardoned and rewarded for it by Conservatives.
Same shit we'll see from the Chimp-in-chief.
But remember - Clinton got a blowjob!!! And his wife has a scary face!!

What were you expecting?
k0na_an0k
(Mar 6 07, 08:57)Exactly. Nothing. I was expecting nothing. Except for all the brouhaha and newsprint that will be wasted on this, it will mean absolutely nothing. Libby is the new Gordon Liddy of our times.
god forbid I expect anything approaching justice in this system anymore.
bread and circuses. put a fork in america, it's done.

TheBlueOne. GWB's pardons will surely make these look good.

heh heh.
It has been pointed out that the total number of pardons Clinton granted was comparable to other presidents and that Republican presidential pardons have also been controversial, including President Gerald Ford's pardon of former President Richard Nixon on September 8, 1974 and President George H. W. Bush's pardons of six Reagan administration officials accused or convicted in connection with the Iran-Contra affair and Orlando Bosch.
Like I've said before. Some things in the White House, will never change regardless if there is a (D) or an (R) in front of your name.

haha blaw.
