Milano doesn't excite me as much as Genova does for some reason. I think it has to do with the ocean, but Milano to me is just tons of traffic, unbearable heat and hookers on fold-out chairs along the backroads (I've seen it!).
And geographically, it's perfect. It's on the "right" side of the alps, perfect temperature in the summer and tons of ski resorts to choose from for a day trip.
*checks Genova apartment listings :)

no problem. You got folks on the Riviera that you visit often?
I agree about Milano, thus the reason I dont work there, even though lots of projects are there. But from where I am, 1 hour and 20 mins puts me in central Milano. Plus, I'm a Cape Coddah, so the sea or ocean of some sort is absolutely essential.

Regarding Milano, I meant to say *live* there. I dont live there. I DO work there, and for clients there.

Yeah - they're in Menton, right between the Italian border and Monaco. It can't be more than 80 miles to Genova from there!
Infact, I lived down there myself for a while, but a house purchase that went horribly wrong made me go back home again. Can't say I visit too often, business keeps getting in the way, but soon :)

Like Jeremy Clarkson said, I think the world can look after itself and we should enjoy it as best as we can...
