Errr honestly does anyone actually enjoy when the website takes control of their browser and blows it full screen?
That trend needs to be retired in my opinion. Retired FAST.

I am with you. While we are at it, lets stop pop ups too.

and lets go ahead and start spelling entire words too

I can't stand it. Like the first thing I think about when it happens is okay how can I close this?

Hahaha... you tell em Wobbie.

I dislike things that are automatically full screen (actually, anything full screen in general)
Have an initial screen with an option for various screens, with at least: normal screen, or full screen.
If you don't have that, have an easy-to-access and noticeable option to return to normal screen somewhere on your site. This is more important for programs / games / applications than it is for sites.

i dont mind it if it was designed to be full screen.

Yeah timeline me all you want but people obviously aren't getting the message because I keep getting FScreened.
I agree with you Jaline. I was bummed to see SerialCut follow this shit.
BTW figure out the singer yet?
- Jaline0
no, but definitely some model and/or rock star.

the best are the full screen auto center popups that center between the two monitors and scale to the height of the portrait cutting off the top and bottom of the landscape
what popup really needs to take up 2730x1680 anyway?
idiots.

v4 has the worst case. he wins.

Ooooooh I like the sound of that Jaline ;).
On the money version4... couldn't agree more.

I bought noresize.net ages ago with the intention of posting a big list of reasons not to fuck with with users screen settings or use lots of popups but I never quite got round to it!
If anyone wants to post compelling reasons why you shouldn't resize/FS a browser here, I'll happily add something to the domain
