How do you find the time? Motivate yourself when you have little of it?
I have so many projects I want to jump on during the day- of course, while I'm at work-work.
How do you stay committed during the week?

money, is my motivation.

When I'm slow at work I don't stay committed.
I have this nifty cube door screen that I close and work on personal stuff.
Although now I've come to a point in my life where I don't have to freelance, I want to end it altogether so I can spend more time at home with my family.
Maybe take a quick early lunch every day and freelance for an hour while at work?

i've done it a bit since landing the current job, though like k0na i don't really have to anymore. I only do it on wkends; we have a totally open studio so everyone can see what you're working on. Someone's prolly watching me type right now.

easier said than done, but ultimately you wanna make your day job = personal work. i figure that's the only way to really survive in this meat market.
in the meantime another good solution i used to practice; pick an evening of the week and make it your weekly creative night, no matter what else is happening.

I had to switch to working part-time in order to have time for my personal/freelance projects.
When i had a full-time job plus a 30 mile commute each way every day I had little time for anything else. I would try to take on new projects but it was more stress than it was worth.
Now I have fridays off as my "freelance day" and it works pretty well......except i'm looking at a 12 hour day tomorrow :(
