bullying is really shitty...
... when a kid does it... HIS PARENTS should feel the effects if there is going to be any repercussions for being a bully...
... the minute his/her parents are embarrassed that their kid is a bully - his lil ass will be leathery tan and parked indoors for weeks (at least.. mine would when i was a kid).

Well to answer this topic seriously. Kids should be encouraged to talk to their parents about bullying and parents should be encouraged to talk to their kids about it.
I'm not one to blame the victim or to forgive the bullies, but surely, if the teen had let his parents know about the situation they could've given him a pep talk, gotten him off the internet or thaught him to not take it seriously because it doesn't deserve to be taken seriously. Most bullies are brain dead idiots or they'll just go after anyone. So anywayz, I feel real bad some kid did that over something so silly.

kids that are bullies are often raised in a home that doesn't give a shit about them (the kids) in the first place. they are just a product of something more ugly.

I was just thinking back to 4th grade.
I used to get picked on for being on the Golf Team. The bullies called me a 'Stroker'.
That is until the day they picked on me while I was waiting for the bus to take us to the Golf Course.
I took out my driver and hit one of the kids over the head with it. I left the club head cover on but it still knocked him out.
They didn't even suspend be because technically it took place on the street, off school grounds.
Never was I called a stroker again.
Well, not until I found Internet Pron that is.

(Feb 22 07, 13:09)Not to laugh at your childhood torment, k0na, but that part made me snicker. You have to appreciate the nickname ingenuity that some bullies have.
For years, no one ever gave me a nickname, because they couldn't think of anything. My first name is Ed, and my last name is this long Norwegian name. No one ever thought of any name-rhyme type taunts.
Until one day years later, I was 28, and they guy in the office next to me yelled across the whole office area "Yo, Special Ed!"
I couldn't believe no one thought of that. I actually laughed hysterically over it. :)

In middle school I was the butt-end of all the jock-types...
... you recall that time growing up where your childhood 'pals' become 'popular' and you don't?
Anyway - it was 8th grade... and I ALWAYS got pushed around by this one prick named Scott. The kid used to throw me into the wall every time he'd pass me in the hall and ALL the jock-ass-fucks would laugh it up etc etc...
... then...
... one day in P.E. - I was one of the first ones back in the locker room. I was sitting at the end of one of the bench's leaning over, untying my shoe.
The douche-bag (scott) comes running along the bench (he's on top of the bench at the other end)... and drives his knee right into my HEAD while I'm bent over...
... I snapped...
... I sprung up and somehow put him in this unbreakable headlock... everyone gathered 'round to see a fight and were all cheering for Scott (which made no sense... cuz his air flow was completely cut off and he had no chance)... he even got a few punches off and hit me in the face (I swear I didn't feel a thing - I was so fucking pumped up)...
... his head began to meet lockers left and right... the way it finally ended was Scott embedded his teeth into my hand (I still have the teeth-mark scar on my right hand)...
He never touched me again - no one pushed me around anymore... they talked down to me... but never a physical altercation.
.. now for the irony. :)
In ninth grade - I moved 3000 miles away from that school and did my sophomore/junior years in another state. Oddly enough - Senior year... we moved back to the same school I started in...
... Scott... had turned 'hippy/musician' along w/ 3/4 of the douche-bags who used to beat the shit out me. The end of senior year - I had started a band w/Scott and another guy who was just as 'cruel' to me only 4-6 years earlier.
Sorry for the long post - this was like therapy. *sniff... shit... I'm gonna go hold myself for a few minutes.
