I radically dislike him. He ate shit from Bush during the 2000 run up to the elections and swallowed it like a "party man"..despite his "straight talk" and his "vietnam cajones" he's a bootlicker...wouldn't trust him anywhere closer to the levers of power than he already is..

i'm with the blueone on this. mccain was an impressive, open-minded, logical individual... one of the few members of congress that didn't make me sick to my stomache... then he started swallowing shit like a good little politician.

Totally blaw..I actually liked McCain until Bush's people manhandled him in the party runoffs..and he just took it..which demonstrated to me a) he's talks a big game but doesn't walk it and b) someone has him by the short and curlies..

...and he was/is for huge Iraq war escalation. He pushed for 40,000 more troops than revised to 50k more. Not a popular viewpoint right now or in 08.

I'm not sure about his open mindedness...he's actually quite conservative from what I remember. And he's always taken it from Bush...what about what Rove and co. did to him years ago? He's weak.
