Not the majority, just a lot of photographers at one time or another and a few people on here.
Its a given that these people dont walk around like Walker Texas Ranger®
So dry your eyes princess, I'm just finding out what the deal is :)

nah, i was generalizing. sorry!

"slappy spinner" good try but you seem to be blurring the line between photographers and "american photographers" in this thread so stick to your prejudiced belief rather than back-out when called-out.
- slappy0
sorry I meant American photographers...

I prefer jeep-mounted Anti-Aircraft guns myself.

as far as guns go, i guess it must depend upon where you live. around here, EVERYONE has guns.

so are we just talking protection from vagrants and such or is, say, wildlife included.
you know, for when your lining up your shot for that majestic dandelion and along comes (bear, wild hog, coyote, etc.)
Not that I'm advocating killing innocent wildlife, but I would probably carry a handgun along with me if I were doing some outdoor photography........
- Kirshar0
oh yeah........and backwood redneck inbreeders, put that on the list of real outdoor dangers too.........

if you're worried about wildlife (bears being the exception) carry a shotgun.
- kelpie0
I really want to anthologise that post

I have permit, and carry concealed almost every where I go.

i do carry one of these though: http://www.knivesplus.com/CM-BK3…
(for camping, not killing)

I live in Canada and I'm not paranoid.
Ahhhhh refreshing.

I kind of assumed people camping would carry some sort of protection but I didnt realise how many people carried hand guns.
I guess I am just naive.
We do have guns here in Australia but the general public dont carry them.
