sorry I meant American photographers...

"slappy spinner" good try but you seem to be blurring the line between photographers and "american photographers" in this thread so stick to your prejudiced belief rather than back-out when called-out.
- slappy0
Not the majority, just a lot of photographers at one time or another and a few people on here.
Its a given that these people dont walk around like Walker Texas Ranger®
So dry your eyes princess, I'm just finding out what the deal is :)

Really slappy? You stumble upon some forums online and now you summarize that the majority of americans carry guns? Go watch some more TV.
- slappy0
Nah I'm not that fussed really, I do find it interesting though how many people do carry hand guns around reasons why.
I can see both sides of the discussion and am not judging people for it even though I joke a bit.

Oh right I forgot, sorry. uhm...america is worse and uhm, america is evil err whatever is hip to say these days. Oh also everywhere else is better and uhm bush + oil = war and things like that. mcdonalds, coke, nike, sweat shops oh! global warming, guns and stuff! Fight america or do something, anything, that stops you from thinking about your own backyard!

Really?
"In Australia, conflict over gun politics is related to cultural tensions. Many Australians use firearms for hunting, the control of feral animals, and target shooting. Low levels of violent crime through much of the 20th century kept levels of Government concern about firearm ownership low. However, in the last two decades, following rising activism and a series of mass killings, both State and Federal Governments have enacted more restrictive firearms legislation."

Here in Australia we have a few problems (not as many as most it seems!). But New Zealand have got it all sorted, not even the cops carry guns.
Do you guys shoot rocks if they move?

owns, not carries. lighten up.

and no, i've never taken a gun with me on a shoot, then again; shirts, prototypes and promotional items aren't too tough in my neighborhood, a knife tops to handle that shit

gun bitches, i'll make a deal with you. you stop driving, i'll stop owning. every year cars and cigarettes each kill way more people than guns. so if anyone is willing to give up their freedoms, i'll gladly do the same in return. my goal for before 9 july 2007 is to be able to fire a semi automatic handgun with such speed and accuracy that you will be dead from the hole in your skull and the hole in your heart before your body even begins to fall from the pull of gravity. that way you'll die immediately and have nothing to complain about stray bullets and any argument of gun control will obviously be laughed at as I will have demonstrated excellent control. all this coming from someone who once had a shotgun put in his mouth as he was robbed at gunpoint. ftr, if i wanted him dead, i could have killed him with his own gun, having mine there wouldn't have changed anything

I think it all depends on where you live. I'm in the St Louis area and if I lived in the city and especially had to walk around regularly I would feel safer with one.
I kind of wish we lived in a time before guns and had to fight with samurai swords instead. Then at least it would take some skill to kill someone.

as far as guns go, i guess it must depend upon where you live. around here, EVERYONE has guns.
