In a way I see (and hope) that this vote is step one. Say "mr. President, Congress has now stated we disagree vehemently with your policy, officially. What say you now?"
If Bush does his typical "Fuck you peons."
Then we get the whole defunding process..
In a way, it's good hwo this will play out with thpeople in the press this way..maybe...sad it couldn't be done any faster..
And I have no doubt the GOP will be playing tricks in the Senate along with that jackass Lieberman...

and the republicans had the house since fucking newt gingrich and never even debated it. and they are "the deciders".
Its just laughable man. So I am not supposed to be partisan and should want to see results but you can hold the two parties to two complete different standards of conduct...

Dobs, sometimes you are partisan, sometimes your not. Belief and passion drive it - on both sides. I'm not going to forget, ever, the shenanigans the Repubs have pulled in the last decade or so, but I'll forgive and see what can happen from here (and sleep with a knife under the pillow...) if there is legitimate common ground to be found on important issues..
