Hey Canuck, that would be terrific!
I've put together quite a few mags lately. I don't have residency yet though so an employer has to go through a lot of red tape to take me on.

Hey JerseyRaindog, I work at a publishing place now that produces a lot of major canadian magazines. They post job ops quite often, just recently they had a design position for a year contract. If you're into magazine work I can forward you details as they come in.

halifax? Do you have leads there? You should try Calgary too, it's booming. Nova Scotia has a good school NSCAD and they are famous. i think that area is a great creative hub but the winters are harsh.

Hi Edvin, not heard from Josh. Maybe I'm off the list. We've been doing a lot of soul searching lately about whether we should broaden our horizons and not just aim for Toronto. Maybe even Halifax (we could buy half a big house out there outright with our savings). I haven't been in touch with Gary again yet but thanks for the heads up. I'm just revitalising my online folio before my next move.

thanks for the feedback. I'll def make changes to this.
Hi Phil,
how are things? have u heard back from Josh? You should contact Gary again, he has lots of awesome ops. Things has been great, been meeting a lot of places locally. i am rethinking about relocating because i just bought a condo.

piper...
... my name is ponyBoy and I approve your work.
Lord baby Jesus... your work is tasty and well presented...
... get off NT and get your ass back to making the rest of us look unworthy... :)

Great work. Really different and fresh. You have a lot of talent Edvin, and I would say yes, definitely ad quality.
Just what a few other people have said, a bit of editing will make it look even better. You want some surprises in your portfolio when you meet people face to face.
Good luck buddy.

yes i think i have too much work in the one page portfolio, i've basically kept all my work from 2004-06. I would like to edit in my next version.

thanks for the suggestions. i actually have been approached by people thinking i'm an agency. I will probably change the wording from we to I.
I do have a few ops in Canada that I'm excited about but am always open to new opportunities.

awesome work as per usual, piper :)
damn right, "made in Canada", heh.

v.nice work !

I agree with Kona on the wording, the only thing I thought of is that because your work is so good, That YOU were the design agency rather than an individual.
Awesome work!

i agree 100% w/ Gabe. i do not know why some put the "we" when it is just them. there is no need.
- gabe0
is it really "we" or is it just "you" ?
potential employers might get the wrong impression...
that said, are you looking for a full time job outside of canada? :)

I always feel like website work junks up the overall look of a portfolio--maybe ghettoize the website all in a lower section?
is that a dumb idea?

very nice work.
how many pieces do you have in there? it could be stripped down a bit – you have excellent work, but when you show 25+ pieces, you're bound to have some weaker stuff (relatively speaking), and that volume can water down the whole presentation. just go with your 12-15 top projects.
or do others think more quantity is OK? this is sort of a personal preference of mine, so take it or leave it.
- piperboytoy0
thank for pointing that out Kona.
I wonder if my work looks the same? I like the DIY style design and try not to use the same idea but sometimes i feel like all my work look the same.

Wowzaz. Unreal work and I really like the site.
I'd change the wording a bit though.
"We have done branding, website.."
We have done just doesn't sound right.
"We have created branding..."
But that is just me.

your work is a sweet as shit man such a great variety and energy to your stuff.
