does anyone have a recommendation for a physically small (smaller than 5"x4") but gig-bite large (over 250g) harddrive?
i dropped my external Lacie porche drive last night and now my computer doesn't recognize it. so i'd like to invest in a new PORTABLE external drive but wanted something thinner/slimmer than the Lacie porsche...

i always find that carrying a big small HD a little risky
i usually use my ipod to carry about 80 gigs on it
but i use

this for carry big files
this has been pretty safe when dropping. porche ones usually looks pretty but dies easilyhttp://www.lacie.com/products/pr…
this seems cutehttp://froogle.google.com/froogl…

i would stick with something quality on the inside, seagate, western digital. i've said it a thousand times before, so forgive me for repeating mself, but lacie is garbage.

but lacie uses either seagate or WD for their HD
thats why i started to buy WD or Seagate HD directly uglier but same crap
i cant wait for this one

you are correct, some do have quality on the inside, but some don't. i usually buy the drive separate and get an enclosure

Any good small enclosures out there?
Do you buy notebook sized drives or normal sized drives?

is it better to get an internal with an external enclosure, or an external?
