I take it that's a no then? Is it always religious people that spread stories about these things?
I'll be getting hammered first of course, Heineken-a-go-go.

Got a kick ass story for you!
In high school my friend Jeremy and I were playing that game with my stepsister and a friend of hers. We were in my bedroom, I had blue lights at the time so it was dark and kind of had the right "mood" for such a game. I can't remember how the game's topic got around to a hidden spirit and a murder, but while the two girls got up to get something to drink or whatever, Jeremy and I came up with a brilliant plan to scare the crap out of them.
We tied some fishing line around my toilet seat and lid in my bedroom's bathroom, and put the lid/seat up. Ran the string along the floor and under the bed where we Jeremy could pull it easily.
The girls came back and we got the game going again. More questions about when were you murdered, etc. etc. and finally one of the girls asked "Where did it happen?"
I pushed the Ouija gizmo to spell out BATHROOM, and as soon as the girls could tell that's what the word was going to be, Jeremy yanked that fishing string and the lid came down loud as hell.
The girls screamed like you couldn't imagine, woke up my parents at like midnight or something and went running across the house terrified. And they were in high school!
They started telling people at school about it the next Monday, it was so awesome.

Used to piss about with one of these things a lot when I was a kid.
Pretty rubbish really, we usually made homemade ones. They just move around by subconscious muscle movement (if you hold your hand out without support it pulses - all illustrators know this).
Any notion that you're going to get possessed is... agh, agkk
*eyes glow red, eats baby.

Meheheheheheh :D
That's just it though, unless you can totally trust the other people then it's a waste of time. I suppose if you do trust them and fuck all happens then there's your proof it's all shite.

I just found it funny how I bought it at Toys 'r' Us... surely that is some indication of how these things are classed nowadays.

In high school a couple girls were playing with one while on the floor. Me and a few buddies were sitting on the couch a few feet away drinking beer.
The girls were 'talking' to a ghost via the board and we're all laughing having a good time.
When they asked 'how did you die' the board flew up from their hands and hit above our heads on the couch.
Both of their hands were on top of the board using the whatever you call it.
When it shot up it pushed both their hands up and threw them back.
If I didn't see it I would have never believed it.
Never been around one since.

I'm not kidding mg33.
You're talkin to a guy who has more than a few ghost stories to tell as well.
I used to work at a place that was haunted. It's on some 'most haunted' lists in the United States.

Here morilla.
http://www.stratfordinnhotel.com…
The hotel was built around a mansion. The owner of the mansion was against her sons wanting to build a hotel over it/out of it. For years she lived in Suite 101 while the Hotel flourished. Before she died she damned her sons for going against her wishes.
The building is 100 years old. Creepy as fuck. The basement is unreal and untouched in about 50 years with many secret rooms that can be seen through holes in the wall but no entrance to the room.
Almost everyone who's stayed in room 101 has complained about lights turning on in the middle of the night, noises, the toilet flushing.
I have so many stories of nights I stayed late to watch cable TV (I grew up in the country, no cable).

Nice! I have heard of that place.
Pretty amazing when you you experience that stuff huh?
I am going to stay the night at Myrtles Plantation or go to Waverly Hills Sanatorium this summer. I'll post what I find.

Yeah some of the experiences were pretty crazy. Eventually it made me quit working there.
I've heard of Waverly. Nice!
