I've not used it, but have only heard good things about it.

Thanks. I Need realtime advice and usage.
I only have OS X.3.9 and cannot run it. I need to know about HTML invoices specifically.

these things seem all well and good, except for this 'automated time tracker' thing, where the clock is ticking all the while on open documents, seems impractical, for our type of work at least, - you cant be opening and closing every little illy file while your using it in conjunction with PS, but if you leave them both open are you doubling up time? Do all documents get tagged to a job bag? I dunno, whats the deal?

These things always seem to be more hassle than they're worth,
if you're doing it like that must be easier to estimate at the end of the day

exactly, I've looked into them in the past and thought the same, to be honest, as backwards as it sounds, I prefer to just keep track on paper and then add it all up at the end of the day.

I tend to agree, but if you are a small company you cannot rely on all your staff be vigilant enough. I have not read into it that much, I have only looked at their invoicing system which can be set up using an HTML Template. I have been asked to create this template but am unsure how it communicates with the rest of the system. ie getting job no., cost, and calculating the VAT, etc...
So if anyone has used it, lemme know.

i use it exclusively, and have been for a couple years. it is great.

Great madirish.
Could you answer me a few questions?1. When a job is complete and you need to fill out an invoice will the amounts be inputted automatically. If so how is it driven?
2. Do you use a custom HTML template?
3. If so – Is it easy to do one myself?
4. Does VAT get calculated?
Thanks

Great madirish.
Could you answer me a few questions?>>sure thing.
1. When a job is complete and you need to fill out an invoice will the amounts be inputted automatically. If so how is it driven?
>>yes, they are inputed automatically. they are driven there by the job area, where, you have already set up the time logged on the project (and subsequently the client) and the rate for that time. it can also work for retainers, or flat amounts if that is what you want.2. Do you use a custom HTML template?
>>no, i do not use an 'HTML' template, just the template it creates, which can then be outputted as RTF, PDF, text files and sent via email, etc. i guess the original template of iBiz is in an XML format, but i have not ever taken those to push to an HTML page. i am sure the support forums could help you though:
http://www.iggsoftware.com/forum…3. If so – Is it easy to do one myself?
>>i would say yes. i have made/altered my custom templates many, many times and they are a piece of cake to do. they come out very clean and with just the fields you want, formatted as you like. i have a lot of success with it.4. Does VAT get calculated?
>>yes, if you set it up to include VAT or another tax it will all get calculated and then included as both a line item and then the sub-total and final total. you can customize this though as well, if you prefer a different outcome. Thanks
>> no problem. i really enjoy the software and for the price, it is a steal.

Therefore if a client has asked me to place their template style into iBiz I could do this by editing the default template?
Thanks for the response Madirish.
- madirish0
yes, that is totally possible.
no problem at all.
