I used to know a guy who worked here.
I've had 2 interviews with these guys in the past 6 years. Might be a bit of a drive but they have an office in Ann Arbor.

*puts brick on accelerator and let's F150 drive itself down the street into the empty lot and wreck into ditch.
**realizes I'm still making payments on it and need a ride to work now...
good luck out there man. There's plenty of jobs; sometimes you have to move to them. Keep your head up

i don't know .. getting fired from ford seems like a pretty good thing to me
were they putting your 'mad skills' to work?
- acedeuce0

definietly needs to be updated. but actually...no, they didn't use my mad skills.
i've been needing an excuse to get out of michigan, this is probably it.

Cool man. Def meant to be. Check em out for sure. Good luck!

rite now is a good time to apply for agencies, it seems. I got two offers in these past two weeks. Feels like this is the time of year when they look for designers. Good luck!

plenty of jobs in detroit, what's your skill set? What we're you doing?
But you should get out of detroit, it's depressing. Everyone is worried about jobs etc.

get to chicago .. not too much of a transplant
around the same latitude, eh?
they have much more opportunity in schooling and working
- acedeuce0
i wouldn't mind chicago, i was think'n more california or new york but don't know if i could handle the living expenses.
is there a monster.com type site for just graphic designers??

acedeuce,
good luck in your 07 career. this seems like such great news in a way, to start a year fresh with fresh ideas and creativity.
you can work this in your favour. just keep at getting your work, and network as much as you can.
i would suggest you even try to search for work outside of michagan such as Los angeles or NYC.
you can definitely find a great job in either city and you can accomodate all your financial struggles wqith negotiating a strong salary.
i suggest you try to get one of these strong design/ ad firms in nyc a call and see if they will offer you a job. your work seems good enough to walk with all the other dope designers why not grab your piece of the profits??
good luck!!
:)

let go, as in business is down and you were laid off, or let go, as in you showed up drunk one too many times? if it's the former, the first thing you should do is collect your unemployment benefits. don't be too proud to get what's rightfully yours.
