I hate the payment on account thing. I just got hit with £3.5k bill here, but the on account takes it up to £5k. Even when you know it's coming, it shits on you.
Although I don't begrudge the system etc, etc it goes to pay for health, education, warheads etc, etc...

and when you're going for a mortgage its profits they look at with SE, not salary.
