how do i tell my old computer to make firefox the default browser and to stop using IE for random stupid ass shit?

right click html file > open with > firfox tick always use this program....

in FF
Tools > Options > Main > Always check to see if FF is the default browser on startupif you want more past that;
Windows+E > Tools > Folder options > File types
Edit to suit

My PC launches Firefox all the time. So much so, that all my Macrodobe stuff crashes when I try to publish test in IE.

you can't remove IE.. its part of explorere and the OS.
this computer was only $100 so i'm not using it every day. mainly something to have around the apt wherever to watch dvds and waste time on NT

My links always open up in FF after I clicked that dialog box that appears when you install a new browser or everytime you open a browser and you haven't specified the one you want as the default one.
I haven't helped, I realize.
