I think the post by grafiske sums it up pretty well. It's one of the worst things that ever happened to music. Puts all the focus on the wrong things: sex, sex, choregraphy, image, sexist nonsense. That's when they're actually playing music. As for the rest of it, you'd just have to be a little slow to enjoy it. Sorry. I love music and MTV is almost as offensive as the Grammys.

there is a show called lifestyle or something like that, about touretz syndrome, I was watching it the other day, and I thought it was pretty good.. it had more of a documentary feel to it, not really the kind of show you expect to see on mtv. but hey..
Back when I was 15 or so I used to love mtv there was a show around 3 am that got me into future sound of london and a lot of experimental / ambient stuff that I still listen to today.
Time changes music changes, today is all about hip pop, gwen stefani and black eyed peas, everyone bashes on mtv, but they are growing stronger every day, someone is watching..
