i freeze bits and pieces of leftovers in one big tupperware bowl and once it's full it make a soup. beef broth and maybe some extra veggies and/or meat... it's so fucking good!
one soup may contain mac and cheese, wild rice, grilled chicken, backed chicken, corn, carrots, peas, beans... on and on and on. really, can't be beat.

that's a great idea gruntt! Except for the carrots. Carrots should never be cooked.

you can have a second bag in the freezer for "scraps", which make for delicious stock
you can save everything from celery and carrot ends, chicken/beef bones, to shrimp shells... so YUMMERS

when you get a full bag of scraps, put everything in a pot and cover with water... you can add herbs, salt, pepper [i prefer peppercorn], then bring to a light boil and simmer for 2-3 hours
you can then strain and make yr soup!
if you want to freeze stock for later,you need to plunge the pot into an icebath [to avoid bacteria] then strain.
then fill freezer containers/bags with 1-2 cup servings to thaw into recipes later
