Uh, Why are we talking about Bowie's birthday today. Are you still on an Elton hangover?
Best album: Outside with so many other honorable mentions. Basically owned the 70s from The Man Who Sold the World till Scary Monsters. Just about every song was great.
My favorite moment was the 50th birthday show in MSG My wife and I were both there years before we met.

Must suck knowing that no matter how famous you get, your best bet ever is to be the 2nd most successful/famous person born on January 08th.
Happy Birfday!!
:D

damn, talk about literally castrated

Tin Machine was important because it got Bowie and Reeves Gabrels closer. The man did amazing solos in Scary Monsters in the '97 gigs, it was hard to top Robert Fripp on that.
Funny how the US version of Tin Machine II cover was castrated:

Watching Christiane F for the first time. Wow!
Worst moment is the day he formed Tin Machine. That didn't work for me.

Hrm, favourite Bowie moment is probably him and Bing Crosby singing their rendition of 'Little Drummer Boy'.
That is crack.

The man even has a giant fuck-off knife named after him.

(Jan 8 07, 08:09)Hehe, the knife is named after Jim Bowie:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim…David Bowie decided to take up the last name of 'Bowie' to distinguish himself from the other David Jones' at the time of his musical arrival.
David Bowie is a legend. The proverbial Halloween Jack of All Trades (bazing).
I don't necessarily have a favourite Bowie moment per se. I do love his penchant for helping out his friends, and always looking out for new music and his ever changing style so to speak.
He still drops great albums too, haha!!
