i could not disagree more, the computer is no longer a tool, or a glorified typewriter. it's an experience.
compare the apple experience to say ms, or hp. what's different? it's a lot more than the design of their hardware.

I predict the rise and domination of the hybrid magnetic chalk/whiteboard.

Not if Steve Jobs is still alive it ain't. Windows and other computers aren't what they are today with Apple setting the standards and frequently raising the bar.

mac is the choice of the industry, It's not going to change. But who really cares, this topic is for people who need to get out more.

i think we are going to see the beginning of the end of the personal computer as we know it tomorrow.
apple is different because they are not concerned about adding features to it's existing hardware form-factors, which is simply something a lot of the pc croud does not understand. it's about rethinking the way we use and interact with technology.

(Jan 8 07, 01:41)Surely that lame-o-meter reads '0 lameness' ie not lame.
Or is it so lamely designed that a low reading means more lame?Either way, apple will continue to set the standard. Ideas will set them apart not what the case of the unit looks like. All others can do is watch and then copy, microsoft will always be 2nd.
Mac was the first computer to have a pictorial interface years before windows.
