yea, arizona needs to clean itself up. it will certainly take a long time. public education is a joke here. too many students, not enough teachers, and a lot of spanish speaking students. the test scores are low..but i can only assume the test are in english. if you cant read it..well....

the mountains and hills make this place awesome. It's great to see them everyday.

ya, but i can't stand the flatness of the neigborhoods. no hills or anything. LA at least has a bit more topography. Everything out here is to flat for me.

but the mountains are pretty sweet. i'm think i'm gonna go hike up camelback or something this weekend. start the new year off with some nice views.

yeah man, whether we are talking about earth or women's asses it's flat down there in Phoenix.

Born and raised here. I have grown tired of it and looking to get out. It is a cultural wasteland and will likely remain that way.
Real estate isn't that cheap when you really look at what you are getting. The freeways are hell when you need to cross this sprawling city at the wrong time of day. Good luck finding great food. There are 3 walmarts within a 5 mile radius of my house.
On the plus side I do know people who love it here. I find people who keep to themselves and hang with there family and enjoy hiking and mountain biking tend to dig it.
It's fucking hot in the summer. This is never an exageration. Four months into it you want to stab those who claim its dryness is somehow a bonus.

i live in Surprise, AZ. which is just west of Glendale - which is just west of Phoenix. And I work way out in Scottsdale.
Positives:
Chicks
Winters
SunsetsNegatives:
Everything Else. Seriously. I'm a very objective person too. There are 2 Super Walmarts - each within one mile of my house :D
This place will rot you. Nothing but parking lots & giant SUVs.
