I've noticed a trend with some 'American mid-west Christians' - the ones that look like that guy (thick glasses, shorn hair, goatee, tight designer tees etc etc) where, if I saw them walking down the street in London, I would naturally assume them to be gay - (that guy, in my eyes, is the archetypal gay scrawny designer). I notice it a lot through various media (eg. last night on that bloody '30 days' tv program), on the web etc.
Is it a trend? Are there loads of uncomfortable gay men in middle america, marrying and having kids because they're petrified of The Lord?
If so - is that right?
To deny themselves and deny their wives true love? to live a sham? Doesn't seem very honest or Christian to me.
or am i just being selective in what I see?
or am I just a nazi?

ok.
I agree with you guys mostly, it is somewhat of a marketing ploy, but Sundance wouldn't have run it if they didn't think it would be somewhat popular or interesting on some level.
It's just odd, because he's the son of those two. Strange.

Jazx, I love how if you criticize the policies of Israel you are labeled some sort of anti-semite to dumb fuckers worldwide. It says way more about you than it does about anyone else.

Jazx, you didn't think anything pro-Christianity would be received well here, did you?
Stop upsetting the caricatures people hold so dearly about Christians, here.

23kon: Actually Christ could be compared to a non-conformist punk rocker.
Read your New Testament.

Hey, you said it not me.
I didn't interpret it that way, I was just being a smart ass.
You seem to not like Christians or religion in general and my family happens to be just that.

Actually Christ could be compared to a non-conformist punk rocker who had a degree in evolutionary biology who would teach you all about the irreducible complexity of the eyeball as he tattooed his signature on your bum.
Read your New Testament.

Caricatures you say?...these people do it to themselves. I can think many so-called caricatures of christians and then go right out and find the direct referent in society. Go to most universoty campuses at noon near the student centers and you'll see a guy wearing a sandwichboard with a list of "deadly sins" on it tell all the student they're going to hell unless they repent. Yes in 2006.

That's funny, Mimio, because in my 16 years of being in evangelical circles, I've met thousands of Christians - people from all stripes and colors and backgrounds. Quite a melting pot, really. People who you'd never be able to force-fit into nice little Flanders-esque molds.

I like the website. Has some cool things happening on it.
How does one become a 'child prodigy?'
Is/was he super smart?
I prefer to give things the benefit of the doubt. I'll watch once (maybe) to see what it's all about.

There is this guy that drives around downtown milwaukee. He drives around in a black hearse with flowers and biblical passages written on it, with a huge loudspeaker on top telling people why they had better repent or they will burn in hell. I can't find a pic of the car, the dude is fucking out there though. pavlov may have a pic of the dude.
