deep ellum is sketchy with the crimes. if you want to be near downtown, you'll probably want to love in the area called uptown. its just east of downtown. it's got great eats and bars there too.

Seff - I was super surprised when friends told me what had happened to Deep Ellum.
I mean, Trees closing! Pretty upsetting. Hard to believe.
