I am finding it hard to enjoy what i do or the places i work at. i don't know if my standards have risen now that i'm older. This year i've switched jobs 3 times and i'm not sure if i like my current job.
I think i need to see an occupational therapist for help.
My ideal job would be in design but also allowed to work on art projects or do fun experiemental stuff. Is that a dream or are there companies like that out there?

i came to the conclusion there's no such thing as a perfect job.
every job i had, either it starts out really nice and fun or it sucks from the beginning, it all ends at the same place. i think i need a new hobby.

that is so depressing. I did freelancing for 3 years and i loved it. i did so much personal work and paid the bills with a few long term boring projects. i didn't make that much but was so much happier.

freelance sounds best for what you want, it seems.

try an occupational hypnotherapist. Maybe he can make you think you were fishing all day, instead of being at work.

yeah i guess so.

Just rub one out in a bathroom stall whenever this wave of frustration sets in - you'll be free of worry for about 1 1/2 hours if you're like most guys.

my ideal would be a fine artist that is actually selling work. all day in the studio creating...
but i know i'd end up being a drunk.

piperboy, why did you quit freelancing? because of the money?

I just believe I don't like working in general. So I found a place where I don't have to interact with the public at all, except to have meetings with co-workers sometimes, and I'm going pretty well. It's not too bad at all (except when I have huge amounts of work to do, of course, but that doesn't happen too often).

well, i wanted more big brand experience and would like to work abroad. with freelancing i do more creative and smaller projects but not much work with any recognizable brands.

I used to think I wanted a career. Then I realized I just wanted a paycheck.

Very few people enjoy what they do.
