U gotta' take 'em to court. It's the only viable solution, outside of gettin' medieval on their asses... which, while enjoyable, will almost certainly backfire. See if some friends can front you the scratch to file the paperwork and have them served. Then you're on your way. I hate that shit!! Good luck.

Sell the debt to a collection agency. Sure, you'll lose a percentage but you'll get some money and you'll also have the satisfaction of knowing some knuckle dragging cunt will turn up at their door asking for their money.
