you should take that dncer job considering tk can get drunk rather quickly and you can easily take advantage of that and quickly sweep in for a nice raise ...or is it a boner...either way things can only grow from here.

Hrmm, same happened to me. I reminded them they interviewed me and they pretty much told me that they hired a junior with less experimental work.

site and resume are both nice and clean, i like how they match without going overboard on the cv. just wait it out, you should have no problem finding work.
good luck

I don't know about this one...
and for some real advice, don't worry about it. Just keep looking for work, sending stuff. Make sure your resume get's sent through email well, etc.

Sometimes the process is just ssslllloooowwww. I did a job for St. of IL once. It took them 2 months just to respond to the proposal. Even if you don't get the gig, it could be that your work is right on par with the person they choose, he or she just got to them first... or was better looking, or offered a kick back on the salary... something like that.

welcome to NT.
That burning sensation means it's working.

Nice work, I say bug them a bit more. get an answer positive or negative at least. If not, I'm sure there's more than 2 agencies in New York. Good luck and welcome.

no support group. best advice is to let it go and move on. Your interview might have went well but there might be other applicants who are more qualified?
It sucks but life goes on.

How do any of you get any work done?
I'm going to keep at it. At this point I don't even mind the rejection, but I would just like to know either way.
- grunttt0
who exactly are you accusing of getting work done?

keep your chin up and don't bug the piss out of them. If you interviewed well, just find confidence in that. The hiring process is different from place to place. good luck man.

(Dec 5 06, 11:59)When you're a bigshot like me you can afford a team or highly skilled Appalachian monkeys to type up your documents and code for you.

No... NO!... YOU PUT THAT HANDFUL OF YOUR POOP DOWN RIGHT THIS INSTANT!

No offense, but if your plan is to get two interviews, and then wait for a month on yer butt, your lack of gumption is probably reflected in other ways.
Unless you've found your number one dream shop of all time, you should be sending enough resumes out to land at least that many interviews a week.
In the meantime you should be freelancing and picking up work at agencies, studios and in client companies, which will not only help expand your network, but also potentially provide portfolio pieces.

lol @ Kona. I do laugh at ur jokez you crazy mofo.

Fuck you OSFA. One day you're making fun of my defense mechanism that I have to hide behind cause I'm such a meathead and the next you're kissing my shaven ass.
Eat a sack full of ball sacks.

I'm just kidding with the Fuck you.
I really meant to say fuck you asshole but that would have taken too long for me to type with pencils.

I feel like I should respond to this.. I did not chronicle my entire job hunting experience. I just wanted advice on one small aspect of it.
I have interviewed a lot of places, and I continue to keep looking, emailing folks, sending out promos, letters, and contacting interesting studios. I am keeping my portfolio updated and working on some stuff that people have suggested. All the while, keeping a full time job and a modest freelance client base of my own.
I'm entering competitions and even doing the occasional
pro-bono project...I have gumption
