So I said months ago i would design a logo for a friend starting up New Zealand theatre company in London. she has settled on the name Shaky isles as in slang name for new Zealand because it lies on two techtonique plates and also as in shaking in the theatre isles. I wasn't to sure about the name but its already been decided as its now registered. Anyone got any good or fresh ideas for a logo incorporating "shaky isles theatre" in it it or with it..... I have hit such a brick wall with this and now she wants it asap
Thanks a lot!

but aisles and isles are two totally different things.
and nothing good can come of using a pun for the name of your business. that's just trashy.
:l

oh dear. not very helpful at all, was that? terribly sorry.

Make it a neon-glowing and drop-shadowed cereal aisle.

I am totally with you on that E hence why i tried to talk her out of it.... alas she feels like its too late now shes got it registered and been spreading the name around for a while now... I def am not gong to be putting anything together that reflects both meanings and are going along the lines of shaky isles ie) volcanic or vibrations from New Zealand sort of thing without getting all cliche..... ; )

I say dig into the type of theatre they will be - what sort of performances will they put on, what's their personality etc.
and how significant is it that it be obviously related to NZ? what's a 'New Zealand theatre in London' all about anyway? do they just bring in shows from NZ?
dig down past the pun and the top level significance of NZ, and you'll find some interesting avenues to explore

Next time you walk down the cereal aisle in the supermarket, look at the cartoon characters on the boxes of cereal. Notice anything strange?
They're all looking downwards, this is so they make eye contact with the small children looking up in wonder at the colourful boxes, who can persuade their parents to buy them!

yeah, both midgets and dwarves eat a lot of cereal, I guess they need the extra riboflavin.

dude.
you used riboflavin!
that's just not a word you get to use in everyday conversation.
well done!

haha, a cereal box is the only place you ever see that word, plus my gf is a nutritionist.
