That PS1/2 backwards compatibility thing has been fixed in a recent firmware update, or so I understand, so that video isn't really fair at this point.
The price of a PS3 isn't going to come down any time soon. That thing costs Sony way too much to make and they're already taking big losses on it. Doesn't seem like it's paying off so far...

Yup. GT4, GTA San Andreas, Manhunt, MGS3, Bully... all shite. GT4 is such a mess it distracts me when I'm playing.
Still, everything else about the PS3 is shit-hot... I just wish I was able to access it on my network to transfer files. It doesn't recognise Mac formatted iPods either.

Less than that I think... there's a major firmware revision coming up in March to coincide with the Euro release. Hopefully they'll fix a few things and unlock some new features.

If we can find one, my brother and I will purchase a Wii. The PS3 is way out of our spending range right now (there's no way we'd spend that much money on a gaming system even if we had the dough); The Xbox is another possibility but there are younger ones in the house so maybe sometime in the future instead. Nintendo seems right.

in terms of raw gameplay get a sega saturn, or a supernes, or a wii, or an atari 2600 dope games on that machine and i mean titles like kabooom and adventure...sweet...
