I have seen the cops zip tie people's legs together cuff them and 2 cops take them away, minus a tazer.
were these cops just huge risktakers?

Knowing that the kid didnt pose a physical threat, how was the tazering justified? It wasn't because the kid wasnt a threat.
Who said he wasn't a threat? I'm not saying the cops were justified in what they did, but you can't possibly place all the blame on them for what happened. My point is this: Had the kid simply walked back and gotten his ID, this wouldn't have happened.

this cop had a MAJOR history of violence. he should be held accountable. we didn't here the whole story either (yes this can go both ways), and based off the officer's past, I give more benefit to to the doubt on the Iranian.
And to think that people can seek safety in numbers.... it'd a been cool if like 30 students jumped the pig. all shit would've broken loose with armed militias being sent in by the gov't, but it'd a been an interesting story....

europe's way ahead of US in terms of techy phones. as for high quality video, something like a Nokia N90 can do that. there's others.
as for a summary of this thread. buncha people seem to excuse police overreaction because the kid was acting like a douche.
he may have deserved it, but if the police tazered everyone who deserved it they'd be zapping everyone all day. they need to use discretion. should not have been used unless he was a threat, which i don't think he was.
