there has been talk in this thread that if the kid was tazzered he could not hae stood up on his own for 10-15 minutes.
that video is what, 8 minutes long? he's walking around for the last 5-6?
debunks that i'd say.
he could have stood up at anytime.

when you say racially profiled you mean asked to leave because he didn't have any ID and he refused to show any promting the securtiy guard to get help because he wouldn't leave?.

also take into account what floor they were on so i'm sure the cops had made their way through the library asking a number of students for id, hell, it even says that in the latest news article.
the kid was in the wrong 100%

Don't you think it's a little suspicious that, in the long history of the UCLA campus library, and of all the thousands of people that have forgot their ID, the one that gets tased "looks Muslim?" That's what racial profiling is - furthermore, if the kid would've behaved violently, I'd be singing a different tune. But he didn't. He simply refused to obide - which does not warrant five shots from a stun gun. A stun gun is meant to dissuade somebody who is aggressive and trying to cause damage to people or property.

That's a good question? Why would a typical security guard feel it necessary to call for back-up when a student didn't have ID?

I haven't watched that movie. But on the rare occasions I've been accosted by officers when I was a teen, I behaved badly. I think it's good this video is out and really kids, when adressing an officer, be respectful. Acting tough will get you nowhere.

from experience you DO NOT f--- with cops.
If they tell you to move, you move right away and fast. This little stain whining and saying im getting up while he sits there like a baby...WTF. They were more than patient and warned him numerous times.
Try having 6 on you with guns drawn, yeah that was fun.
