that is super nice!
two things: why the hell does the top get cut off, and why is that mouse tracking so damn fast/touchy??
otherwise, SLICK!
ps. i don't understand the bottom scroll update thing. sems to not do anything..

There is some great work there, but the top gets cut off, the interface is hard to work and the reverse-direction scrolling is just bad.

It works nice, I personally don't like the mouse position nav. It's a bit hard to control. But still nice overall. Would look into more user friendly options if your trying to get work.

Pros.
I respect the fact that they actually did something a bit different. It is a unique approach to the same old book analogy.Cons.
Sure, when I shrunk Firefox down to a pretty reduced portion on my screen I lost some of the content to the top, but you know, we all push for higher screen resolutions, and bigger monitors. Everyone cringes at the 800x600s, and we all want to get a site "out" there "designed" for the high-end user, this site does just that.Werd.
Remember, don't hate the player, hate the game.

Thanks guys! We are still working out a lot of bugs as people find em' and realize a 1024x768 version will probably be a reality.
The site was designed for 1280x1024, if you are viewing it on a smaller resolution the top will get cut off. We chose this as a place to start.
We appreciate your criticism and take it constructively.
I appreciate the honest feedback.- Craig

It was mind blowing on my 1600x1200 flat screen!!!
Nothing cut off, ended up looking at every single piece of work in the site so I would say it's spot on!!! Definitely captures your attention for more then a few mins.
Loved the Urban Silo site and the Fresh Cuts posters.
Think il start learning actionscript...
How long did that site take to make btw???

love it.
bookmarked.

the site is completely over-the-top, but it is unique I suppose.. nice work though...

Thanks!
From concept to content complete about 4 months. However, we had been evolving similar ideas for quite some time that led to this final form.

It's great. This reminds me of way back when companies produced websites which you admired and you spent a few hours looking at. Funny cause I was looking at the MTV thread before this and thought about when DIGIT did the 3d MTV thing (years ago) and launched it and I stayed late at work just going over the site. This gives me the same feeling - not had that in a while. Well done!

excellent work, no problems here winxp FF1.5 - I have looked at more pieces of work than other folios just becuase it is easy to use (and the work looks good!). the only thing i didnt like was the max speed at which it would scroll horizontally - maybe cap it at a slower speed

Really fresh approach to navigation. Looks good but doesn't necessarily do the work justice.
A bitch to update, i can imagine.
- Sct70
Thanks
Actually, updating is stressless, it's all drag n drop, simple TXT for content descriptions and number of and then FTP = done. The site is completely dynamic, so at anytime i can update the TXT file and it instantly creates a folder anywhere in the array i'd like. Aside from formatting images it takes only a few honest minutes.

Engaging interface and some beautiful work - very impressive, craig & cru - that said, i don't quite get the bottom scroller and cute character interface popups (are they related to the expanded projects above?) - who knows. But then - who cares when everything else is so good?

Hella dope!
My laptop is a little small, so I'm in the cut off category - but this is a neat navigation concept.
It's like a Jacob's Ladder, and actually makes me want to look at everything, haha.
Kudos!
