Im having my 40,000 mile service done to my VW BUG in a week, the dealer is saying about 600$+tax ... This seems insane anyone out there done this ?

Whatever you get done, it's always more $$$ at the dealership.
If you can find a local mechanic that is experienced w/ German cars, that's good.
