The boss wants us to redecorate the confernce room and he's giving us free reign over what ever we want. We were thinking of doing one wall in chalkboard paint and doing a mural out of chalk that can be changed/erased/added to/deleted from any time we want.
Meetings will still take place in there as well as presentations, etc. I would also like it to be like a lounge with couches and coffee tables, maybe beanbags and papa sans.
Any ideas from my brothers & sisters in design would be welcomed.

to be honest lounging in the conference room isn't a great idea.

go with a whiteboard wall instead.
chalk board seems cool, but that pain never erases fully so you have remnents of it left over. plus it get dusty.get the magnetic whiteboards, then you can stick up stuff too.

also have a section for magnetic paint. I think you can do the chalk board over it. I have a small wall in my kitchen with magnetic paint.
If you use it, then you can display comps on the wall. Your next project can be custom magnets!!!!

saw one architecture office that wrapped clear stretchy surgical tubing around plywood and used it as a sort of bulletion board - but they had it go for like 40 feet... really cool texture, and it works like a rubber band, holding your work on the wall...
definitely do the chalk/magnet paint combo...
