I have a client that is requesting an FLA. They paid me to make a website but how should I say nicely that the FLA is my property and not what you paid me for?
Does that make sense? Would you give them the FLA?

Professional photographers keep their negatives and copyright every image they sell. Check the back of your studio pics, they have 'do not copy' watermarks.
Was there a contract? Did you include any verbage that stated as such?
You could probably just send a letter with an official tone that says that all source files are retained as intellectual property and that the services paid for have been delivered or something.

Thanks a lot :).
I told them they could pay for the FLA if they wanted.
Appreciate it.

Always an interesting topic this, let us know how your client responds. Also, how would you work out a price for your FLAs?
