helvetica is not something you can hate, sir.
i think the name you've chosen is in total contradiction with the evolutive concept you're trying to explore. afaik, hives do not seem grow or evolve, they just repeat and perpetuate - usually hives stand for hard work, repetition, hierarchy of functions, etc. Even the trees and green... You seem more of the conservative than the explorative type. But this is just my impression.

I'm with Witt... the word hiveminds does suggest some sort of structure, even if you don't stick with the traditional hexagon shape...
Seeing this extremely green page with greenery coming out of the words does little to convey the idea of a hive or collective mind, but gives it more of an earthy, jungle feel... perhaps you could change the title to Bob's Pot-Plant Warehouse, and sell it?? :)

Other typography doesnt look considered enough.
Those "hive shapes" look stuck in the corner because you didnt know what to do with them.
It looks boxed in.
And your drug references are too subtle

strip it all right back and just have the foliage text on a white background.
less is more.and when it comes to doing your finished site, keep it as simple and clean
