i just came across an article that linked to a blog that someone had written about a close personal friend of mine.
the whole blog post, which lead to the article is completely false and i know this for a fact.
basically, as some of you know i'm friends with a few players for a mlb team and some jackleg is posting completely false info about a friend of mine and it's getting attention.
what should i do? what can i do?

be careful. jsut let the guy know.
telling online he's your friend and stuff may only cause more trouble.
i take it this guy is somewhat famous?

I would call your buddy and let him know. I don't think there's much you can do right now without making the situation worse or adding to its popularity.

(Oct 30 06, 09:09)i know. i don't really want to post a comment there cause i don't want them to know i'm good friends with the guy, and, i really don't want to post any personal info that i know about my friend to a blog cause it's personal.
yeah you can say the guy is somewhat famous.

fuck it... people write shit about people in the spotlight.... unless the guy is saying that hes a donkey fucker and people are believing it of course... is he?
- k0na_an0k0
yeah nocomply. i think that's what i'm going to have to do.

eh you could post about how you don't believe what they are saying, and stuff like that. try to discredit what they are saying, if it's his opinion then offer yours, Just don't be that guy...

let your friend make a statement through his agent disputing the article. that's usually how most of these things go*
* from my experience reading ESPN. Not from my experience being friends with big leagers.

no calles, nothing like that. but the blog was even pulling my buddies wife into the lie. which is bullshit.

You get used to slander.
If I had to count how many times there were anti-fans of mine saying some really fucked up shit about me on the internet, I'd need a lot more hands (or fingers).
Best revenge is to live a good life. Seems simple, because it is.

well that sucks... i dont understand why people do shit like that
- k0na_an0k0
well, the problem is if this actually gets any real media time (espn or a local radio talk show) it will have a very bad effect on him with his real fans of chicago.

it's cool, we all expect that ball-players are closet-case homo's... it's nothing new and with such phallic and homoerotic equiptment, nobody was really surprised...

Tell your friend. If he thinks it is worth it he will get his lawyer involved.
