(Oct 27 06, 02:31)I like them. Good colours, ethically produced. But after 10 washes they look like towel.

AA shirts are garbage. Cheap material and lousy manufactuing - they fall apart after a few wears.
If you're looking for durability, go for Hanes Or Fruit Of The Loom 100% cotton.
- Retro0
fruit of the loom for durability my ass.
Had my AA tees for well over a year and they're still looking good.
Anyway, regarding the original question. Sorry, i don't know. Maybe go custom?

FoL Best/50/50.. suckas!
- 2wo0
I'd recommend Fruit OF the Loom, Hanes Beefy, or Anvil.
American Apparel is just over-hyped; they're pretty average t-shirts.
- acescence0
AA shirts aren't the greatest of quality, but the difference is the cut. AA is for the more trim individual. hanes, et al, are cut for the fatass cheeseburger lunch crowd.
- squeegeeman0
i use http://www.alternativeapparel.co… they have a vintage feel, great colors and good quality.
- Jaline0
acescence has a point. some cuts also work a lot better for women / girls. I prefer AA right now b/c the small cut is perfect.
- ********0
American Bums! Try the AA 50/50 for more durability.

i like the smaller cut of aa. i really dig their hoodies but wish they had a bigger color selection. anyone know of another brand similiar to aa? the hanes hoodies are way too wide and don't fit near as well.

I can understand the LOVE & HATE with regards to AA. They produce a great mid level shirt... and Dov is not the guy I want to go with, for a hundred and one reasons... their quality is bellow what I'm after.
I need something with a higher quality weave, something "by designers for designers"...
If I get a good list of companies I'll post the results.

sounds like you need to piggy-back on with someone who's already making their own tees.
don't quote me but i *think* these guys do some wholesale blanks.. based in vancouver.
organic cotton with a touch of lycra.
