my safari only crashed when i have over 50 tabs open and then i load some plugin (flash, quicktime, etc) or if i goto yahoo videos
i know it's because my computer i old and it just cannot keep track of all the plugin instances or whatever
so i just don't open 50 tabs anymore
i still think the fonts look best in safari
maybe turn your font smoothing option on for small sized fonts

I clear history and cache a lot, but I just tried it out again. I'm pretty heavy on Safari, launching internet radio and all those many links posted on here. Lately I've been using Firefox for internet radio since it seems to be more stable, but Safari still crashes.
Hopefully they'll just upgrade my computer here at work soon and problem resolved.

Drastically. And my dept. knows it. It's just our IT guys aren't helping...
I'm working on a G4 iMac (flat screen round base style) that's running on Tiger and has about 8GB free. My partner is using a G5 tower, running Panther with an external HD and plenty of room. Everyone knows I need a new one, just haven't gotten one yet. And we're sharing files that close to 200MB sometimes, so it takes FOREVER on mine and 2 seconds on his.
Oh well. I have the Wacom tablet. He don't.

If you are looking at a bunch of crappy MySpace profiles with songs, blinky gif animations, flash slide shows, and videos, then yes it will crash. Firefox crashes, Camino crashes, and Safari crashes. Camino is good, but slower then Safari.

Nope...no flashy myspace pages here.
